As the owner of T.L. SMITH & ASSOCIATES, I have in excess of 25 years experience in conducting and directing professional investigations that yielded results not excuses. I have served in assorted positions of Law Enforcement ranging from a Patrol Officer, a Criminal Investigator/Special Agent to a Supervisor of various criminal investigative units. I have conducted and directed criminal investigations spanning from acts of rape and murder to complex contract fraud. As a criminal investigator/supervisor, I know the meaning of clear concise, unbiased reports and the gathering of factual information needed for civil and criminal trials. As a retired US Army Officer, I have always been taught "Can Do" - not "Can't Do"! 

For the past 14 years, my investigative experience has been furthered nurtured and developed in the insurance industry from the assorted positions I have held with the Special Investigation Unit of four insurance companies.  I have served in assorted capacities as a Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Field Investigator, Supervisor and Regional Manager. One insurance company was the state of Maryland Workers’ Compensation Fund and the other three carriers were major and well established insurance companies. I have also managed an Investigative Operations Center, which was a subsidiary of a major multi-line insurance company that serviced more than 80 other insurance carriers in their war on insurance fraud. In addition, I have served as a Workers Compensation Compliance Investigator for the State of Florida Department of Labor, Division Of Workers’ Compensation, Bureau of Compliance. In these various positions and through career enhancement, I have mastered the required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities to best serve you and your staff in accomplishing your established goals and objectives.
